Alianna is a small, family-run homestay in the heart of Karimunjawa. The house was built by Pakde Zul, Ali's uncle, as a home for his family. After his children had grown up and moved away, he found himself living there alone. In 2026, we rented the house from him and lovingly restored it, keeping its original character while creating a simple, comfortable space for travellers to experience island life. We have a total of three rooms open to guests with two shared bathrooms. Pakde Zul still lives in a small house at the back of the property and continues to be part of daily life at Alianna. Staying here means staying somewhere with local roots—not a purpose-built hotel, but a family home with its own story. We hope you'll feel at home here too.

Ali was born and raised in Karimunjawa and has spent his whole life on these islands. He knows the reefs, beaches and hidden corners better than almost anyone, and loves sharing them with visitors. When he's not taking guests out on the water, you'll often find him spearfishing, grilling the freshest local fish, or playing guitar with friends in the evening. Tourism isn't just Ali's job—it's something he's genuinely passionate about. Whether you're looking for the best snorkelling spot, a quiet beach, the freshest seafood or simply a good conversation, he's always happy to help you experience Karimunjawa like a local. Together with Anna, born in England and now calling Karimunjawa home, Alianna aims to create thoughtful, sustainable tourism that benefits both visitors and the local community.

Alianna is located right in the heart of Karimunjawa town, making it easy to explore the island on foot. We're on the same street as the traditional market and just a 5-minute walk from the Alun-Alun, local cafés, restaurants, shops and convenience stores. Both the main arrival harbour and the departure point for most snorkelling and island-hopping trips are also within easy walking distance (although don't expect to walk with your bags when you arrive! We will be waiting for you at the harbour). For exploring the rest of the island, scooter rental is available, giving you easy access to Karimunjawa's beautiful beaches, viewpoints and quieter corners. Whether you're here to relax or adventure, everything you need is close by.
