Big Daddy´s Surfcamp was built in 2013 and has been one of the first surfcamps to settle down in Pulau Merah. Big Daddy´s surfcamp is located 50 m off the beach and provides a wide range of surfboards for all levels of surfers to rent out. The simple but spacious double-bed rooms all include air-conditioning, a bathroom and a terrace. There is an outside area to meet other guests and enjoy the free wifi, complementary drinking water and coffee together after a session of surf. The beach of Pulau merah has several different peaks that work all year round in all kind of tides. It offers great surf for all kind of surf level beeing a beach-break especially good for beginners and intermediates. If the swell gets bigger, the sandbanks also produce long-working lefts and rights and occasionally also perfect beach barrels. Most important, there are yet no crowds and you share the session with only a handfull of other surfers.

The owner and surf-instructor Agus also known as Kingkong started surfing in Indonesia in the late 80´s and is a known name in the surfing scene all over the country. He will make sure you have a good time in and out of the water taking care about his guests. You can book a surfsession or just rent out a board yourself. Kingkong also offers Trips to in the surferscene world famous breaks of G-land or to the nearby Greenbay, Turtlebeach and Sukamade national park.
