ChannaS is a small group of bungalows set around a garden and a pool, with jungle all around, in the village of Bayad, just north of Ubud. Each bungalow stands on its own, with its own entrance and a covered veranda that looks out onto the garden. Inside there's a king-size bed, air conditioning, and a stone bathroom with a proper bathtub and a rain shower. The pool sits in the middle of the garden, so mornings here tend to be quiet. For your breakfast, you tell us when you're ready and what you feel like, and we cook it fresh and either bring it to your veranda or set it up at the dining area. In our place there is always someone around when you need something, and the place stays calm during the day. Wi-Fi and parking are free, and the nature around does most of the work of making people slow down.

ChannaS villas is looked after by a small on-site team. Keeping the place small is deliberate - it means we can answer your messages quickly and get things set up the way you like. The team is here through the day, happy to help with whatever makes your trip easier - planning and arranging tours, sorting tickets for the sights you want to see, or getting a driver organised for the day. Bayad is a lived-in village in the Payangan hills, so what's around us is real Balinese life. The big draw is how close the outdoors is - ATV quad bikes are right on the same road, and rafting on the Ayung, cycling and trekking are all close by. Tegallalang and its rice terraces are a short drive, and central Ubud - the markets, the museums, the Monkey Forest, the Campuhan ridge walk - is about fifteen to twenty minutes by car. You're close enough to reach all of it easily, and far enough out that you come back to somewhere quiet at the end of the day.
