Also our cleaning standards are very high it is impossible to stop bugs, bees, lizards, frogs, geckos & Co. from visiting the house and its surroundings. 🦎 We are surrounded by nature which we consider as a gift. 🐶My rescue dogs Bobo and Foxy are permanent residents at Villa Uma Dewi Sri. My place is openly designed and we purposely haven't erected high walls and fences. We have enough of those in the city. - Please note that the stairs leading up to the second-floor bedroom are quite steep and may require a bit of extra effort to climb. - If you're looking for an escape from technology, this property offers a weak WIFI signal, so you can truly disconnect. - We do not accept credit card payments, so please keep that in mind when planning your stay. - Your bedroom features a beautiful window that allows you to gaze at the stars and watch the sunrise. While there are no blackout curtains, we provide sleeping masks for those who prefer to sleep in complete darkness. - During the night, you'll be serenaded by the sounds of crickets, the flowing creek, and occasionally the call of geckos. In the morning, the sounds of roosters from nearby farms will greet you as you start your day.

Hello my name is Nina. I am from Indonesia, happy to meet new people and it is my pleasure to welcome you on the Island of a thousand temples. A few years ago, on our first weekend getaway out of town, my husband and I came to visit Sidemen and it was love at first sight. With its beautiful and calm scenery and authentic Balinese vibe and culture we instantly knew that here we wanted to live and get old one day. Villa Uma Dewi Sri came to live with the vision to create a home that belongs to the place and environment. An accommodation in Sidemen that is in unison with the nature and people by which we are surrounded. This philosophy is also reflected in the name that we have chosen for our holiday home. Uma means house or home and Dewi Sri is the goddess of rice and fertility that blessed our place, set among Sidemen’s beautiful rice fields and with the ever-present and mighty Mount Agung in the distance. At Villa Uma Dewi Sri we are taking steps to reduce our ecological impact and promote sustainability. We are proud to offer a NATURAL river water POOL for our guests to enjoy. While the pool is maintained and cleaned at least twice a week, the water is natural and may sometimes appear slightly cloudy. However, we assure you that the pool is always safe to use and offers a refreshing and eco-friendly alternative to traditional hotel pools.

Villa Uma Dewi Sri is located on the outskirts of the small Balinese Village Dusun Luah in Sidemen. It is a pleasant 30-40 minutes walk along rice fields and across the river to the busier Tebola village of Sidemen. This is where most of the hotels are located and here you will find some nice restaurants in case you feel like to eat out. 🛵The best way to get around and to restaurants and shops is by scooter. I can help you to rent one, just let me know. In the main Sidemen village you will find a local market, though you have to get up early as it closes around 8 am, as well as some local shops and of course the traditional weavers of Sidemen. Sidemen is an ideal place for those that like to explore and immerse themselves in an authentic Balinese environment. Mass tourism has (still not) found its way here. 📗To all our guests I send, shortly before their arrival, a great digital guidebook that I have created. It contains information about my home, tips and recommendations, where to eat, what to do and things to see. I also have walking maps for those who would like to do some short hikes on their own.
