**Barnesmore Cottage Airbnb Description** Barnesmore Cottage is nestled at the base of the Bluestack Mountains, surrounded by 21 acres of mature gardens and woodlands in a picturesque, secluded spot—shared only with the owners' house. Next to the old railway line (now a lovely walking trail, with hopes of trains returning someday), it's perfectly positioned between Donegal Town and Ballybofey. This mid-19th-century traditional cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and extended, blending historic charm with modern conveniences and special extras. Beech pine walls create a cozy cabin feel, ideal for evenings by one of the two open fires. Note: Two rooms are upstairs with level changes on the main floor, so it's not suitable for wheelchair users. Across the river (or down the lane) lies the award-winning Biddy's O'Barnes, named "Best Traditional Gastropub in Ireland" at the Yes Chef Awards.
