I liked that the staff were so friendly welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were out of this world absolutely fantastic from size to how clean the rooms were and the food was outstanding. It's a very peaceful calming and a great place for even a walk.

Only thing I would change is there was not enough hot water, we stayed in the center room, shower water was warm for the first person taking a shower, not hot. But it was not warm for the second person, it was lukewarm. Needed to wait 5 or 10 minutes in between each person. Taking a shower for the water tank to heat up. If it's on the manned hot water, then they need to turn the temperature up. Other than that, this place is absolutely amazing. A little pricey at $256 for us each night, but you are getting what you pay for. We weren't expecting such a wonderful place, big bathroom, comfortable bed, hot tub on the deck overlooking the river area, very quiet. There's only three hotel rooms, no staff on site so you call the number and they give you the code to get in the lock box. This was a last minute stay for us, we just happened to stop in the city. It got dark and we decided to stay and this was the only room available in the entire city. We were trying to stay within a budget, we definitely did not with this place, but you are definitely getting your money's worth. If you do stay here. When we called the number to get the code to get the key, the guy was great on the phone so make sure you have local service. If you're from out of country. We would definitely stay here again even though it's out of our budget because it is that nice. You will definitely be impressed, there's also a supermarket and a smoothie place directly across the street to get some food that you can cook in the microwave or put in the little refrigerator. Luxury · Great view · Romantic · Quiet Rooms: Very nicely laid out room with comfortable bed, remote controls, etc. Nearby activities: Lots of shops to walk to so you don't have to move your car, supermarket across the street for food and smoothies. Walkability:You can walk anywhere and get food or supplies that you may need. You could also walk to the castle from here and take the tour

Been to donegal town and burtonport. Both great spots.

Been to donegal town and burtonport. Both great spots. Several excellent food choices in donegal town as well as pubs. Burtonport more rural and quiet but if you are staying in the village the pub is very friendly. There is a beach around every headland and you can easily have one to yourself. Donegal is steeped in history and music and traditions.

Locals are so friendly.

Locals are so friendly. Creevy pier hotel in Ballyshannon is a beautiful spot to have food and drinks overlooking the sea. Malin head is a must see place when you're around Donegal. Portnoo beach is paradise, crystal clear water, safe beach for kids when the tide is out, you can walk to the small island. I'll recommend the Olde Castle Bar Restaurant too for people looking for great food. We stopped a few times to go for a walk and we discovered quiet beaches around Portnoo. Rossnowlagh beach is gorgeous, you can drive the car down to the beach and it is safe when the tide is out. I can't wait to go back to Donegal. No need to go abroad, Donegal is paradise.

I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place. The property is modern, spotlessly clean, and exceptionally well maintained. It has a warm, homely feel and is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable, whether you’re visiting for a few days or a longer period. The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to relax. It’s conveniently located within a short distance of the town centre, and there’s a Lidl supermarket nearby for all your grocery needs. There are also several excellent takeaway options close by, including a fantastic Chinese takeaway. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay, and I would definitely choose it again if I’m in the area.

We loved the Waterbus tour and our drive out to Slieve League. With more time or planning, I would have done a longer coastal cruise to see more. We ate at the Harbour Restaurant and the Olde Castle Bar, both of which had excellent food! The beer options were a bit lacking at Harbour. We also visited the Reel Inn for drinks and traditional music, both of which were great!

Donegal is a lovely town; easy parking, great castle and some good seafood. the surrounding countryside, especially to the north and north-west is stunning with fabulous beaches, tiny coves and mountains. Sparsely populated so even though it's a popular tourist area you rarely feel crowded, but it can be helpful to plan ahead for places to eat as they are not that numerous outside the main honeypot sites.

Excellent accommodation in newly decorated, clean apartments in the center of the town and convenient for exploring the delights of Donegal. Staff were brilliant, anticipating needs ( like a second apartment!!), having a chat and treating all customers with care and respect ( lived that the young lad falling asleep over his pint was treated so kindly). Food was great and catering for a coeliac wasn't an effort.
