Blacklion Holiday Homes are located in the centre of the picturesque village of Blacklion in County Cavan, close to several unique cultural and heritage sites, an ideal base for exploration. There are many sightseeing adventures on our doorstep such as Cavan Burren Park, The Marble Arch Caves and Global Geopark and much more.

Local facilities include golfing, gym, outdoor keep fit area, angling and, at the end of a hectic day, fine dining. Visiting the area in 1739, the Reverend William Henry, who was later to become Dean of Killaloe, documented what he called the awesome majesty of Gortatole Rock - a large limestone cliff, known locally as the "Hanging Rock". Located only a short distance from Blacklion, it still stands guard over the tranquil waters of Lower Lough MacNean. It's a real treat to drive out to the Marlbank viewpoint on the rock and survey the natural beauty of the lakes, islands, rivers and mountains that opens up before you.
