The view is spectacular all the way around and the cottage cozy. Appreciate the history of the cottage and the literature that was provided to peruse. The house is modern enough but still retains old world charm. WiFi is excellent. Beds were...

Wonderful area as a base camp for the Dingle area. Comfy home with three bedrooms, ample kitchen space with plenty of dish ware and supplies, good bathroom and shower, nice selection of books on local culture and history.

Loved the location. Such a beautiful area here. Host was very helpful and quick to respond with questions we had. And gave advice on what was best to do locally. Property was dated and quirky, but that is ok as it is an old cottage.

This cosy traditional old stone cottage on the Dingle peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way is an older Irish Cottage for those who seek this experience. The cottage is situated in Ballyduff on the R560 Conor Pass road near Cloghane, West Kerry, 15 minutes drive from Dingle. There is oil fired central heating throughout. It was extended in the 1970’s to add another bedroom, kitchen and an indoor bathroom. It was left uninhabited for a number of years and in the redecoration of the property, its unique character and features have been maintained. It is situated ideally for those who want country side breaks with beautiful stunning scenery and walks on the door step. This self-catering cottage has three bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 5. The two large upstairs bedrooms have king-size beds and sea views from the east room and mountain views from the west room. Both are light, spacious rooms. The downstairs bedroom has one single bedroom and has easy access to the bathroom with walk in shower and toilet which is also situated downstairs. It has two reception rooms both with lovely views of the sea and surrounding countryside. There is a large kitchen with a fridge, microwave, oven, hob, electric hob (if required in cupboard), air fryer, slow cooker, washing machine and dryer. There are a further two living areas downstairs with a dining area and a living room, both lovely spaces for relaxation. Bed linen is included for your stay and towels are included for your stay. Check in time is 3.30 and check out time is 11am. Smoking is not allowed. Dogs are welcome to stay at the property. An outside tap enables muddy equipment to be cleaned. There is adequate space for several cars on the driveway
I don't live at the property so won't see you during your stay. I love to spend time outside in this beautiful area when I stay here. It is a place I have spent time in since childhood. I enjoy body boarding at the nearby strand at Fermoyle where the host photo was taken after a fun session in the ocean.
The property is on the Dingle peninsula, Ballyduff near Cloghane, County Kerry, with a boundary less than 2 miles from the newly formed National Park (Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara) incorporating lakes, islands, marine reefs, and the iconic Conor Pass. From spectacular walks to pristine, idyllic beaches the area has walks for everyone. With the imposing Mount Brandon rising over 900 metres above sea-level and the surrounding terrain replete with stunning walking trails to suit all fitness levels, no trip to this area is complete without a brisk hike – or at least a gentle stroll – along many established routes. A special place that gives a sense of immense space and freedom, walkers can appreciate Bronze Age monuments and standing stones, and the abundant flora and fauna of the area. For a more tourist experience, with retail shopping, cafes, and bars head to Dingle town by way of the Conor Pass for the most scenic and exciting car journey. Fermoyle strand, less than 2 miles from the cottage is the western part of a sandy beach stretching for 14 km, making it Ireland’s longest beach. The bay opens up to the Atlantic Ocean and offers excellent conditions for surfers in particular. The property is situated on the busy main R560 Conor Pass road, 15 mins drive from Dingle, and 10 minutes drive from Cloghane.
