This is a very nice hotel just a couple of miles outside Tralee town. The rooms are always kept very clean and are nice and comfortable. The food and drink is always of great quality and the staff are very decent people. Plenty of parking here. The breakfast portions for the full Irish is nice and generous. The views from there of the Kerry hills and mountains are spectacular on a sunny day.

I chose Tralee as a stopping place because we had driven from Dublin, but were headed to the Dingle Penninsula. It was a perfect stopping place for us. Our hostess was great and offered some very useful travel tips. We took advantage of all of the knowledge and suggestions she shared.

We used Tralee as a base to visit the 'Ring of Kerry' ,...

We used Tralee as a base to visit the 'Ring of Kerry' , basically a day trip (self drive) which was great despite a rainy day. Next day was another self drive to the Dingle peninsula in much better weather. It was a grand experience. Tralee itself is a very pretty place to visit with a further variety of things to do and see.

The Ashe Hotel, The Grand, a nice ramble around the town, visitng a few nice taverns, but overall the town looks a bit rundown with so many premises closed, could do with a bit of a spruce up, although the new paving is great improvemen underfoot.

Tralee is a busy little town with a selection of bars, some with Irish music. The food in town is great quality, especially at Kirby's Brogue Inn and Quinlan's. There is a theatre, which we found out about too late to visit. The Museum was also closed on Mondays in May, that was our free day, so we were unable to visit. We were there when the Tralee Food Festival was on, lots of entertainment and food from all over Ireland and the world.

The square looked very tatty, could definitely use a bit of paint, it didn't look appealing at all. i love all the new shops along the precinct. We had the most delicious meal in the Brandon hotel, such good value, amazing. The Aquadome was so much fun. The crazy golf was closed though which was disappointing.

It had been about 40 years since I was in Tralee last, that...

It had been about 40 years since I was in Tralee last, that was during the Rose Festival. This time we were only in Tralee overnight to visit family. Luckily the weather was dry and bright, which definitely helps. Had a stroll through the beautiful rose garden on Sunday morning and around town. We commented on how clean it was & how it felt safe. Definitely will be back during the year for a longer stay.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Tralee. Friendly and professional staff. The hotel room was superb, clearly recently renovated or updated. Had everything you would need, a safe, fridge, iron and ironing board and beautiful toiletries. Immaculately clean. Loved all of it. Breakfast was delicious and a good variety was available.

Lovely staff throughout the hotel. Great selection on the menu and high-quality food in the restaurant. The bar area outside is expansive and whimsical, a lovely place to have a few drinks while the bar inside feels more mature, very cosy. Great location in the heart of Tralee.
