After many years living in the south of France, I returned to Ireland and renovated my family home overlooking the Atlantic to create Follies Suites. I now run a small hospitality business here, which I love, and I have since left my career in recruitment to focus on it full-time. While in France, I owned and operated a small restaurant inspired by my passion for cooking. I bought it because I love to cook—and eventually sold it for the same reason. Dining during your stay: If you would like to enjoy a home-cooked dinner during your stay, I would be delighted to prepare one for you by prior arrangement (minimum of two guests). Perched on a hillside overlooking Dungarvan Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Follies Suites offers elegant accommodation just a 10-minute drive from the vibrant market town of Dungarvan. Each beautifully appointed room features a European king-size bed dressed in crisp 100% cotton bed linen, a comfortable seating area, complimentary tea and coffee, wine glasses, and a private en-suite bathroom. Surrounded by rolling hills and mountains, with panoramic views stretching across the Atlantic to Helvick Head, Follies Suites is a place to slow down and unwind. The spectacular scenery is best enjoyed from our sunroom, where you’ll find it hard to tear your eyes away from the ever-changing landscape.

Our elevated position, 75m above sea level, is surrounded by peaceful farmland, with sweeping open views and a strong sense of space and tranquillity. Just up the road is Glen Fruits farm, where you can pick up fresh, seasonal local produce. A short walk brings you to the Waterford Greenway, perfect for walking or cycling, while a little further on lies the beautiful Blue Flag Clonea Beach, with lifeguards in summer. A few minutes away, the vibrant harbour town of Dungarvan offers a warm welcome and an excellent choice of restaurants, traditional pubs, independent boutiques, a museum, and a wide range of sporting activities, including three golf courses. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, there is always something to enjoy.
