The location is fantastic, absolutely spotless hotel , my room was fantastic. It was big and had a large private balcony with a gorgeous view of the river and all of the city , the hand soap /shampoo had such a nice smell, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows you had a choice of a soft one or a firm one , lots of tea and coffee and more milk then usually given, 3 toilet papers given . Despite being in a busy location it felt very quiet , plenty of plug sockets and even usb ports

Attended a recent wedding in the hotel. The venue, staff and food was exceptional. Breakfast was beautiful, a lovely menu of hot breakfast choices to choose from, along with fresh juice. Food was a little slow, although it gave time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and enjoy the selection of yogurt, bread and pastries.

Waterford is a lovely city with a beautiful quayside along the river suir, it is a historic city with a number of great museums and of course the iconic Reginald's tower and tower clock. It has a beautiful shopping street/area and many lovely pubs where music is played far too loud ! Unlike many counties it has a wonderful greenway from waterford to dungarvan which was very busy with mostly cyclists but also some walkers . It has a good bus and train connect and the waterford people are it's crowning glory ! Over the past quarter of a century waterford has reinvented itself into a lovely tourist city which i will be revisiting soon .

Moorings by the Sea is an exceptional choice for a family holiday! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our wonderful hostess, who kindly informed us in advance about upcoming roadworks that would limit access to the property. This thoughtful communication was greatly appreciated and made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The house itself is immaculate and well-maintained, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured we had restful nights. The location is simply perfect—just a 20-minute walk to the vibrant Tramore strip and a mere 10 minutes to the town center. Plus, having a bus stop right outside the door made exploring Waterford city a breeze, with buses running every 30 minutes. Overall, I would give Moorings by the Sea a well-deserved 5-star rating! It’s an ideal spot for families looking to enjoy a relaxing and convenient getaway. Highly recommended!

Dunmore East is always a win.

Dunmore East is always a win. Start with a pint or two in Powers. The Spinnaker is fab for food as is the restaurants in The Haven and The Strand Inn. You won't be let down. Accommodation options in The Strand Inn are very good because you have options to suit your budget. The Haven Hotel is also lovely. Lots to do with the sea activities, cliff walk and the forest walk. I love being there. It's my happy space for a peaceful retreat or a romantic getaway.

A lovely village with easy travel to the Comeraghs and the coast. Logistics meant I didn't have a bicycle with me, but I still had some good walks along the Greenway. I enjoyed a nicely-poured Guinness in Rockett's bar and a fantastic toastie from The Signal Box café. There are a number of other eating places that looked interesting, but some of them aren't open every day: worth checking days/times before making your plans.

Dungranvan Harbour is beautiful.

Dungranvan Harbour is beautiful. It is more of a family vacation town. The atmosphere is relaxing. I was about to get a pedicure which was awesome. I would say if you are able cook meals for yourself. The food is rather plain. There are supermarket where food can be purchased. The steak is great. On another note I would take advantage of the buses to visit other areas or do a bicycle rental.I highly recommend visiting the art center.
