"The village is quaint, colorful with lots of restaurants to choose from. I loved the little shops. I rented a bicycle while I was there and rode on the upper and lower Sky Road. The beaches looked lovely, but I was unable to go to them. The scenery was magnificent. The people were so friendly and helpful. I want to go back to that area of Ireland and enjoy it for a longer period of time."

Really lovely hotel friendly staff and very relaxed vibe while maintaining a very professional standard at all times. The food was fantastic and the rooms very tastefully decorated and modern. Wonderful shower and comfortable bed. A lovely experience to stay here. Loved the little extras ..the Times crossword in the morning on the tables in the bar to relax with a really nice touch. Plus the binoculars left for our use in the bedroom very useful for watching nature all around us. Somebody has a great eye for small details that make all.the difference.

Clifden is a perfect town for tourists wanting to explore beautiful Connemara. Everything you need is within a five minute walk in terms of restaurants, pubs and shops. It's a friendly, buzzing town with live music on every evening and a great atmosphere. All the main attractions in Connemara like The Sky Road, Kylemore Abbey, The National park in Letterfrack and the incredibly beautiful Dog's Bay beach in Roundstone are less than an hour's drive away. A really wonderful town for a short break.

The breathtaking view of the mountains by the sea as we drove in immediately hooked us. Then we went to the room and found an amazing view and also discovered how close we were to all the places we were going to explore. I really liked the fact it was a dog friendly place.

Friendly village with lots of facilities: 3 good restaurants plus bars, coffee shops, bookshop and an excellent grocery store. We enjoyed the walk up Diamond Hill in the National Park and the walk through the woods to the beach, although that can only be done at low tide. We were disappointed that there weren't footways by the busy road so we couldn't walk to Letterfrack Pier or further.

It is a beautiful village on what feels like the edge of the world, surrounded by beautiful beaches, wonderful nature colours in a perfect setting. Perfect for group, family or solo trips. Great variety of pubs and eating choices in Roundstone village itself. I will be back for another visit and I will recommend to my friends too. Its a long drive over from Dublin but 100% worth it

Loved Bun An Coirin. Quiet, peaceful and close to walks. This was a self catering cottage . We loved making our own meals. There was a lovely little bakery where we bought a selection of breads, all very yummy. We found a couple of nice cafes in Cong, not too far from Clonbur that served delicious coffee and scones. There is an easy walk from Chonbur to Cong.

Clifden is at the heart of Connemara. It is a perfect hub to visit the Wild Atlantic Way beaches, Westport Great Greenways biking trail and Connemara National Park. Diamond Head trails in the park were exceptional, especially since the weather was warm and clear. Unforgettable 360-degree views from the top. it is the location, there was so much condsideration on the archecture of the hotel to be not ugly and fit in with the landscape. The fact that we never saw other visitors until in the evening, in the resturant when we saw mixed generations and family groups, even on our walk in the woods. With the facillites available and the outside facilities we would have expected to see some many guests but it was how it was all layed out. We are hoping to return in the autumn.
