Hi. I am John. I have been a resident of the Republic of Ireland for 40 years, we decided to open the doors of our large home in 2015. We are located in a very quiet place, just a 10/12 minutes (10 km) drive to Letterkenny town. There is a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy rural scenery watching the sheep on the pastures. Kilmacrennan is a beautiful town and has everything you need and more. The sea is located about 20 20-minute drive from our guest house, although Lough Swilly runs from the sea up into Letterkenny. There are many hiking and biking trails and the scenery is magnificent. Glenveagh National Park and Mount Eriagel are approx. 12/15 k from the guest house The top floor of our house has two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. There are 5 bedrooms and guests have a shared living area equipped with a functional kitchen where you can enjoy fresh free-range eggs for your breakfast. There is a hob, microwave, coffee-making gadget, toaster, and fridge available for the guests. Guests can watch TV in the living area if they wish. There is plenty of parking and a strong free WiFi signal.

We are approx. 15 min drive from the beautiful must-see Glenveagh National Park and Castle and its beautiful gardens and many hiking trails. Another short 20-minute drive from our Guest house is 'Marble Hill' Beach which is overlooked by the Award Winning Shandon Hotel & Spa Rathmullan Beach 10 Kilometers from the Gormley Residence over overlooked by the very famous Rathmullan House Hotel.There is a 2 hourly daily sailing from Rathmullan harbour to Derry/londonderry city in Northern Ireland In the local village of Kilmacrenan you can enjoy live music at the weekends in the lovely old-style pub Mary Mac's. We even have our own beautifully restored thatched cottage ' Coffee Time ' serving the best coffee in the West! The food is all homemade and is open at weekends. Worth a visit. Kilmacrennan has other offers a sit in/take away Tasty Tucker, Chinese and an Indian take-away food offering, also a modern Supermarket and service station.We have loads of beautiful walks and sights to see. Surely worth a visit to this part of Donegal.
