The Flood family have been running this guest house for thirty four years. We enjoy meeting and assisting our customers from all over the world to have a rich experience whilst in Dublin city.

Property info

This is a Neo classical built Georgian House with an interesting History from the Coal bunkers you can see running under the Path to the Granite parapets 5 floors up to the story of how we came to be here. The building itself is about 250 years old, built between 1739 and 1760, we are not quite sure. Our 1st floor rooms boast 13 ft ceilings with 10ft by 4ft double sash windows, the front room being the original living room on the 1st floor, where the sometimes well heeled gentry would look down their noses at those beneath them. We the Flood family are not at all like that and look forward to meeting you and guiding you through your stay in Dublin and beyond to the far reaches of Ireland

Neighborhood info

We are 600m from O'Connell street, and 1.4 km from Trinity college, on your way taking different routes you can go via the James Joyce museum on North great Georges street. Or past the writers museum beside the Hugh Lane Art Gallery, on Parnell square north. Nearby Mountjoy square is a perfect example (and some say the finest) of a Georgian Square known, work is now afoot to restore the gardens to their finer days (ie removing the recent internal buildings). You will just have to come and see yourself.
