Established in the 1840’s, Jim McGee’s guest house is located in Wexford city center, just 22 minutes’ drive from Rosslare Europort. It features a bar and a sun terrace. All rooms at Jim McGee’s are nonsmoking and feature an private bathroom, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a flat-screen TV. There are also ironing facilities that are available upon request. There are also ground floor rooms in our courtyard, located away from the bar area and road noise, some rooms have their own private entrance. Popular with the locals, the bar hosts a number of live music events which guests can enjoy in the evenings. With a number of flat-screen TV’s placed throughout the bar, it is also a common destination for sports fans. From the guest house Wexford Opera House is a short 4-minute walk away. Wexford Harbor is an 8-minute stroll from the property. Curracloe beach, where some of the scenes of Saving Private Ryan were filmed, is also 7.5 mi away.

Jim McGee's Bar and Accommodation has a long tradition with the bar trade as it is an old 18 century building which traded in the wholesale of alcohol in the latter years. The public bar has always being in existance to serve the locals, which has been extended to its present size The bedrooms are a new feature to this house as originally they were the residence of the then owners whom in past years had their own little church within the house.

Neighborhood info

We are located in an old part of town, across the road you will see a historic graveyard , down the road one will see the twin churches one on Bride street and the other on Rowe Street. The town holds alot of history with the pike men whom fought in the Wexford rebellion in 1798 also some ruins of castles can be seen around town.
