The property is a detached bungalow situated in a quiet, tranquil location about 1.5 km from Strokestown. Six small lakes known as Lough Lea lie directly in front of the house. It contains 3 bedrooms, sleeping a total of 6 people. There is a bathroom containing an electric shower, and the main bedroom is en-suite.
There is a combined living-room/kitchen area with a utility room inside the back door. There is also an outhouse, ideal for storage. There is no other other house in the immediate area.
I am retired, and my wife and I live just 2 minutes away from Lough Lea House, meaning we can be reached immediately if guests have any queries. We don't intrude, but we like to meet guests if they so wish. We are experienced hosts, and like to be as helpful as possible.
The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood in rural county Roscommon. Solitude is guaranteed, but it is still very close to the town of Strokestown. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and fishing, and around the lakes is perfect for exploring the wildlife in its natural, undisturbed habitat. If it's peace and quiet, away from it all, that you're looking for, then Lough Lea House is perfect for you.
