Welcome to Preston House, an exquisitely restored 18th-century Georgian townhouse located on Main Street in the beautiful Heritage Town of Abbeyleix. Full of character and warmth, Preston House offers elegant boutique accommodation with peaceful drawing rooms, a private courtyard and a wooded garden -a perfect place to relax and unwind. Our six en-suite suites combine contemporary comfort with original Georgian charm and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Guests also have access to a fully equipped country kitchen, dining rooms and spacious shared living areas. Preston House is an ideal base for exploring Ireland’s Ancient East and Hidden Heartlands, whether you are looking for a quiet countryside escape, a family gathering or a special celebration with friends.

Preston House is on the main street of Abbeyleix village. Loafing up the main street you'll be met with a variety of quirky local stores, cafes and bars. Saturdays farmers market is a real experience to be cherished while bantering away with the producers and locals whom you'll see queuing for their weekly fresh produce in the town centre Heritage Market Square. Visit the beautifully restored Abbeyleix library - a true gem of modern Irish architecture.
