Our farm and property has been in the family for hundreds of years and we built our guesthouse in 1980 in a part of the farm overlooking the River Shannon and Atlantic Ocean. We have miles of private scenic walkways, in part overlooking Ballybunion town with the remainder encapsulating the breathtaking ocean. Our house is decorated with antique furniture and holds many family heirlooms. The bedrooms are newly decorated with taste and charm and are of a very high standard to meet the needs of the discerning traveller.
My main hobby is genealogy. I have an in-depth knowledge of many local family names. I can advise about tracing ancestors and the whereabouts of possible descendants. I can also advise about local records and interesting sites. I published 2 family history books in 2015 and 2017 on the Kissane Family. I published a family History book on the Lyons family in 2018.
Ballybunion is a very scenic location on the Wild Atlantic Way. It boasts two blue flag beaches with miles of golden sand. Just on the edge of town is the world famous links Golf Course. There are many seafood restaurants and top class Irish pubs in town where many of them have Irish Music and dance also to entertain our tourists. If you want some fun in the sun this is the place to holiday!
