I have been associated with the area since childhood as I was born here. Studied at Punjab University Chandigarh and later joined the Government . Worked for both the State Govt of Himachal Pradesh as well as Govt of India at top positions. Keen trekker ,skier and a photographer. Traveled all over the world but the love of the mountains and the people who live here makes this our favorite place
Gemoor Khar is a complete destination .Our guests have many exciting places to visit and see. The main town of Keylong is about 18 kms away and from there one can visit many Buddhist monasteries or Gompas like Guru Gandal ,Karkang , Shashur , Tayal and Billing Gemoor Gompa which is famous for its paintings and thankas is just next to the Khar at walking distance . Khangsar Khar which was the seat of power of the Thakurs of Lahaul before independence is at a distance of about 10 kms. There are innumerable picnic spots along the Bhaga River . If one is interested in history prehistoric petroglyphs , these can be seen in the fields in Mangalag which is about 2 kms from the Khar .
