 We’re an inter-cultural couple. Fibin is Malayalee, and Jess is Australian. We met in Sydney in 2021, fell in love, and got married in 2023. Then we quit our jobs and moved to Kerala to be closer to family and open Monsoon Mist. Through our travels and daily life, we embrace the beauty of blending our two worlds. We live on the property part-time. You might catch us around for a chat about local wildlife, the best fruit in season, or hidden gems nearby. Prefer total privacy? No worries at all, we’re happy to give you space and let the misty hills do the hosting.

Monsoon Mist is located in the peaceful hill station of Kuttikkanam, in Kerala’s lush Idukki district, known for its misty mountains, tea plantations, and cool climate. The area offers the perfect mix of serenity and adventure, ideal for travellers seeking nature, culture, and local flavour. We're just a 10-minute drive to Elappara or Peermade, 45-minutes to the scenic hilltop meadows of Vagamon, and 1 hour from the bustling spice markets and wildlife at Kumily and Thekkady. Distances from major locations: • Kottayam: ~70 km / 2 hours • Kochi International Airport (COK): ~120 km / 3.5–4 hours • Kochi city: ~130 km / 4 hours • Mundakayam: ~40 minutes (nearest hospital) While the setting is quiet and refreshing, you’re never too far from local restaurants, tea shops, and attractions.
