Did you know that scenes from Game of Thrones Season 6 and 7 were filmed near our town? The 2013 film, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, starring Ben Stiller, was also filmed near Kirkjufell.

Property info

The guesthouse is just in front of the harbor and on top of a small Café which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every room has new soft beds, private bathroom, mountain or harbor view. We provide coffee, tea, chocolate in every room and you can easily self check in with the information you receive on an email we send a few days before of arrival. We look forward to seeing you.

Neighborhood info

Kirkjufell Mountain is a 463 m high mountain on the north coast of our peninsula, near Grundarfjordur. It is claimed to be the most photographed mountain in the country and just in front of it there's its beautiful waterfall. The Shark museum is just a few minutes from here and it's one of the most famous in Europe where you can taste shark meat. Hiking is one of the best thing to do during summer time to enjoy the nature and the unique views of this magical country.
