Hrafnavellir / Raven Fields is a family owned company and gets its name from a nearby valley. Each house has its own name related to the nature and animals in the area. That will also be the theme of each house for example one house will have the theme of reindeer, sheep etc. The houses are built in a way that each one is private, being 8 meters apart. Breakfast is served in the service house, situated above the houses. There we also have the reception. Raven Fields guesthouse is situated approximately 25 km north/east of Hofn.

We are a friendly, down to earth family that run this guesthouse. We love meeting new people and we always put the client first. We built this guesthouse mostly ourselves and designed the interior of the houses. We love to design and make things ourselves and try to reuse things instead of throwing them away. It is very important to us to take care of and respect our country and nature.

The area is surrounded by mountain and ocean view. To enjoy the nature is a cherished delight. You can take walks up to the valleys surrounding or walk down to towards the see but please contact the reception for directions before exploring. The nature surrounding the are is fragile, lots of moss and therefore we ask our guests to take caution as we don´t want to disturb nature. The nearest restaurants are in the town Hofn about 25 km from the guesthouse and there you can find all varieties with local cuisine.
