Skorrahestar offers a joyful stay in East Iceland. The fjord is surrounded by steep mountains where there are ample opportunities for guided hikes or rides which depart daily from the farm during the summer months. The fjord and the folklore of the area comes alive through storytelling with an experienced farmer/teacher as your guide.

Property info

The guesthouse at Skorrahestar farm is in a renovated barn and cow stable. Outside the guesthouse there is a patio to sit and enjoy the summer air.

Neighborhood info

You'll find it easy to enjoy yourself in Neskaupstaður - the town closest to Skorrahestar. Walking up above town in Neskaupstaður, you can take in the panorama from on top of the avalanche defense structures. On a nice day it is a splendid idea to fish by the pier, have a picnic at the botanic park or go horseback riding at Skorrahestar. You could also go boating into the bays of Norðfjörður or visit the area's artists by going to Listasmiðja Norðfjarðar or Thea's Gallery in Skorrastaður.
