Guesthouse is located in the family farm with a sheep and horses. We provides you with self-check in.
From the Guesthouse there are jeep/snowmobile tours to Vatnajökull (Europe's biggest glacier). You can choose among tours from 3-4 hours. It is also possible to combine a jeep/snowmobile tour and hiking. No kitchen available in the building and next grocery store is 50 km away. The closest restaurants are in: -Hotel Smyrlabjörg is 7km away, -Hali Country Hotel is 13km away, -Gerdi Guesthouse is 13km away, -more restaurants in Hofn 50 km away.
Vagnsstaðir is in the Suðursveit area, about 50 km west of Höfn town and 28 km east of the world famous Glacier Lagoon - Jökulsárlón. The house is in an attractive area surrounded by a beautiful ring of mountains. Attractive hiking paths invite one into the surrounding area, using a hiking map, you get at the Guesthouse. The shore, only 1500 m away, displays extensive bird life as well From the Guesthouse there are jeep/snowmobile tours to Vatnajökull (Europe's biggest glacier). You can choose among tours from 3-4 hours. It is also possible to combine a jeep/snowmobile tour and hiking. Vagnsstaðir Hostel is only 1 hour drive from Svartifoss waterfall in Skaftafell National Park. Great location to experience the Vatnajökull
