Bargiolina is run by Elisabetta, who chose to stay on her family's land and transform it into something new. On the hills of Barge, we grow apples and soft fruits using organic methods, and turn them into artisan jams and juices in our own on-site workshop.
In an area where many young people have left farming behind, we have built something different — an idea we call "agri-culture": cultivating the land, celebrating the local territory, and bringing together the people who choose our products and those who come to visit us.
To bring this vision to life, we restored the farm's historic buildings, which had stood empty for years, and turned them into an organic agriturismo where farming and hospitality are one and the same. For us, welcoming guests is not separate from the land — it is its natural extension. We'll take you through the orchards, let you taste freshly harvested produce, and at breakfast you'll find our own fruit, our jams, homemade cakes and pastries, and products from our local artisan friends.
We live here every day, and that makes all the difference: we know the best trails for walking or cycling, where to eat well, which wineries are worth visiting, when the orchards are in bloom, and when the evening light is just right from the terrace. We're here to welcome you and, if you'd like, to give you all the peace and quiet you need. Your pace is the right pace.

Bargiolina sits in the foothills of the Monviso area, between the town of Saluzzo and the ancient rock of Cavour, nestled among organic orchards where guests can tour the growing areas and join in the fruit harvest in season. The old farmhouse has been carefully restored to preserve its original character — exposed beams, stone walls, converted barns and stables — and now offers four self-contained apartments with fully equipped kitchens, plus a double room with en-suite bathroom.
All accommodations look out over the orchards and the valley below, with interiors that reflect the colours of the surrounding countryside. Free Wi-Fi, streaming TV, quality bed linen and fully fitted kitchens are standard across all units. A wellness area set between the woodland and the orchards features a Finnish sauna, a wood-fired hot tub with panoramic views, and a Kneipp water circuit.
Shared outdoor spaces are designed for relaxed countryside living: a panoramic garden with outdoor dining areas, a wood-fired oven, a barbecue, a terrace displaying a collection of antique farm tools, a children's play area, a learning and tasting space dedicated to fruit, and a farm shop selling zero-kilometre organic produce and artisan preserves.
Bicycles and e-MTBs are available to borrow. Free parking on site. Pets are welcome.

Bargiolina lies within the UNESCO-recognised Monviso Biosphere Reserve, a territory that has also signed up to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. Its off-the-beaten-path setting has shielded the area from mass tourism, preserving an extraordinary landscape of sweeping views, ancient hamlets, frescoed medieval chapels, and trails leading to hidden, wonderfully unspoilt places — now a destination for thoughtful, sustainable travel.
The surrounding area is rich in art towns and cultural highlights: Saluzzo, often called the Urbino of Piedmont; the Abbey of Staffarda with its remarkable monastic complex; the recently restored Certosa del Mombracco; the Cistercian monastery of Prad' Mill; and the cave village of Balma Boves. The Langhe wine region and Turin are both less than an hour away.
The territory offers endless opportunities for hiking and outdoor exploration in the Valle Po and Valle Infernotto, with trails suited to all abilities, on foot or by bike. In winter, the ski resorts of Pian Munè and Rucas, at the foot of the Monviso, are easy to reach and perfect for families with children. In summer, the local tumpi — natural pools formed by the mountain streams — are the ideal way to cool off after a day's walking.
