Ciao! We are Tom and Annemarie, and we are happy to welcome you to Agriturismo Scala. We are originally from the Netherlands and now live here in the countryside of Le Marche with our two young boys. Creating a home here and welcoming guests is a meaningful part of our daily life. We enjoy welcoming people from different countries and cultures and creating an atmosphere that feels relaxed and personal. Nothing formal — just a warm welcome, attention to detail and space to truly unwind. Good food is part of our daily life. We grow vegetables, fruit and herbs in our garden and fruit orchard, we produce our own olive oil and honey, and love cooking with seasonal ingredients. Sustainability also plays a central role in how we run the Agriturismo and continue to improve it step by step. We speak Italian, English, German and Dutch, and we understand Spanish and a little French — so communication is easy and comfortable for most of our guests. We’re always happy to share our favorite restaurants, beaches and hidden spots in the area, or simply give you the space to enjoy the peace and views. We look forward to welcoming you personally! Agriturismo Scala is a small eco boutique B&B with four rooms, set in a carefully restored former convent in the hills near the Adriatic coast. The farmhouse keeps its original character while offering modern comfort. We renovated it using natural materials and simple, sustainable, and timeless design. Each room is different and furnished with locally made wooden furniture, vintage pieces and selected artwork, creating a calm and welcoming space. All rooms have private bathrooms and high-quality organic, natural bed linen and towels. Views look out over the gardens and surrounding hills, bringing in plenty of natural light throughout the day. Outside, there is space to sit, relax and enjoy the quiet countryside views. In the morning, we serve a homemade organic breakfast with local products and ingredients from our own garden. Despite the peaceful setting, the Adriatic beaches and the Riviera del Conero are just a short drive away. The historic towns of Loreto, Recanati, and Macerata as well as the nature and beaches of Monte Conero, are all within easy reach. Agriturismo Scala is a relaxed base for guests who enjoy nature, comfort and exploring this part of Le Marche at a slower pace.

Agriturismo Scala is located in the rolling hills of Le Marche, surrounded by fields, olive groves and open countryside views. The area is quiet and rural, yet very well connected. The Adriatic coast is just a 10-minute drive away. Porto Potenza Picena offers long sandy beaches, while Porto Recanati has characteristic pebble beaches and a lively seaside promenade. Along the coast you will find many seafood restaurants, and in the charming hilltop villages nearby there are excellent traditional restaurants serving regional dishes. The Riviera del Conero and the nature park of Monte Conero are about 20–25 minutes away, known for clear water, white cliffs and scenic hiking trails. Nearby, Loreto is famous for its basilica and historic centre. Recanati is charming, and the birthplace of the poet Giacomo Leopardi and home to Casa Leopardi. The elegant town of Macerata hosts a well-known open-air opera festival each summer. During the summer months, the entire area comes alive with cultural events, local food festivals, live music and art exhibitions in towns and villages. Guests especially appreciate the combination of peaceful countryside surroundings and easy access to beaches, culture and local life.
