I am half Swiss, half Italian and spent 50 years in Switzerland before moving to Piemonte to live my dream of becoming a host in my own Boutique Guesthouse. I enjoy hosting guests, making them feel at ease in a place of peace and tranquility. Our Boutique Guesthouse is a place of tranquility in the middle of the Nizza DOCG vineyards, situated above Nizza Monferrato. We built the brand new house with latest state-of-the-art sustainable technologies. We use reusable geothermal and photo-voltaic energy for heating, cooling and hot water and have received the A+++ energy label which is the highest in Piedmont for sustainability. The house,is built according to the Unesco World Heritage requirements and represents a classical farmhouse with its typical wine cellar and recycled material from the former farmhouse. Our rooms are all equipped with a private bathroom, our suites do also have a bathtub in the bedroom, with a fantastic view of the vineyards. The rooms all have a balcony where you can relax after a day of hiking, biking or golfing, or just touring around and visiting wineries. From spring to autumn, you now can also enjoy some relaxing moments at the Pool. A breakfast buffet awaits you every day with home-made bread, cakes, jams, granola and much more. You can select from local cheeses, cold cuts, eggs any style and we gladly cater to your dietary needs. The guest kitchen is at your disposal for cooking your own lunch or dinner, if you need support, Isabelle can help you with cooking. The Monferrato Hills are a Unesco Worldheritage Site and yours to discover, there are many picturesque villages on top of the hills, Vinchio, Vaglio Serra, Castelnuovo Calcea, Moasca, Calosso, just to name a few. The NIZZA DOCG wine (Barbera grapes) is growing in this area and many wineries invite you to visit them to see their production and to do some tastings. Needless to say that we are in a foodie's paradise. Many Restaurants and Agriturismi offer lunches and dinners, offering typical Piemontese cuisine or fusion cuisine. In fall, it's the time for the white truffle hunters, there are many markets in various cities (Alba being the biggest) and you will find truffles on the menu of many restaurants. In June, you shouldn't miss the "Corsa delle Botti" in Nizza Monferrato, a race with barrels in the old town, it's really fun to watch and the event is accompanied by a street food festival.
