There’s a road from Rome that crosses the green countryside, and Tuscany’s rolling hills, than passes through the rich northern cities and finally reaches a town surrounded by some imposing peaks reflected in its blue lake. It is not a trip I had ever thought to do, but I found myself on that road few years ago in a hot summer day. Little did I know, I had left my home in Rome to reach Como, a new and unknown place. Even these days, I’m not sure why a girl born in the center of Rome, who lived in Milan and USA, a lover of fancy cities, of beauty and good life, of food and wines, was on that road. What I’m sure about is that this town seduced me with its deep lake, sometimes blue and sometimes green, its tall mountains, its slow pace, its narrow twisting roads, the unexpected glimpses, the smiles of old fishermen, the traditions kept with care. My goal is to offer you the best of the things I love.

I created Alessia’s Place to offer something I didn’t find in Como: an accommodation with the luxury of a hotel and the comfort and hospitality that only a real apartment can offer, with a network of scattered services to make you live the city like I do. Just like when someone asks me to describe myself, and I know who I am so deeply that I’m not sure where to start, I feel the same way that it’s not easy for me to describe Alessia’s Place. I was fascinated by that old big house, abandoned for a long time, and in such a need of somebody to see its beauty and bring it back to life. I spent many months to make an accurate renovation: I’ve chosen and I love every detail: the old brass taps, the refined stuccowork, the ancient wardrobes, the luxury showers, the view on the old houses, the walls made in the traditional way, thick, to guarantee a quite space, fresh in summer and warm during winter.

Neighborhood info

My prívate suites are located in an ancient building in the historical center of Como, fascinating with its traditional shops and the fashion atelier, within walking distance from the lake and the cathedral, easy to reach by any means. We are close to one of my favorite places in Como, Piazza Volta, full of small restaurants and glamour bars, where locals use to meet.
