Antica Residenza dell’Angelo is located in a historic tower house overlooking Piazza San Michele, one of Lucca’s most iconic squares. Our rooms combine original Tuscan character, wooden beam ceilings and centuries-old architecture with modern comforts, creating a unique atmosphere in the heart of the city. Designed for independent travellers, the property offers a simple and comfortable stay in an exceptional central location.
As travellers ourselves, we believe that the best journeys are often the simplest ones: arriving by train with a backpack, exploring a city on foot and enjoying the freedom to travel at your own pace. This idea inspired the concept of Antica Residenza dell’Angelo. We wanted to create a place that offers the flexibility and independence of an apartment or boutique hostel, while maintaining the comfort and quality of a hotel. Self check-in allows guests to arrive whenever their travel plans bring them to Lucca, without unnecessary stress or schedules. Our goal is simple: comfortable accommodation, fair prices and the freedom to enjoy your journey your way.
Located on Piazza San Michele, our guests are perfectly placed to experience the best of Lucca. The city’s famous walls, Torre Guinigi, San Martino Cathedral, charming streets, cafés and restaurants are all within walking distance. Lucca is a city best explored slowly, on foot or by bicycle, allowing visitors to discover its authentic Tuscan atmosphere and hidden corners.
