The uniqueness of the B&B Calabria property consists of the rooms located on the ground floor carved out of the premises of the old family bakery. These spaces have a very pleasant natural air conditioning from May to October, as our territory is located halfway between sea (tirreno) and mountains (sila). Another unique aspect is the terrace where breakfast is served with a breathtaking view of the natural landscape with the surrounding valley and the medieval convent (today retirement home for the elderly).
The informal aspect is the most I like about this activity carried out in your home. In fact, the guests who arrive almost always are open and informal world travelers. I started this activity in 2003 and since then it has remained the passion to welcome guests from 3 continents (Europe, America and Oceania). I am architect and Master of Art and Design. My hobby is painting and when possible travel to explore new places also close.
The B&B CALABRIA is located in Scigliano, with spectacular views of the valley below and a 15th-century convent. The village of Scigliano, located at about 600 m s.l.m., located between the Sila National Park and the Tyrrhenian Sea, enjoys mild climate in the period from March to early November. The extraordinary landscape location is a testament to the opportunity to admire, on different days of the year, the Tyrrhenian Sea with the Aeolian Islands. From this beautiful and central scenic location you can reach by car many locations of artistic and landscape interest whose distance from Scigliano ranges from 30 minutes to about 90 minutes. In addition, we suggest that you visit our B&B as an intermediate stop for long journeys to Sicily. Within the territory of Scigliano formed by 9 villages you can take different excursions on foot or bike or you can stop in places of recreation and relaxation: public park with communal swimming pool 500 meters from the B&B Timpe church 2km from B&B Carmine church under the village Petrisi 3 km from the B&B Scigliano-Carpanzano and Scigliano-Pedivigliano routes Roman bridge 8 km from the B&B

The building that houses the B&B, located in the village of Diano di Scigliano, was built in the early 1800s.

From 1934 to 1993, a wood-fired bakery operated on the warehouse floors, serving the entire village of Scigliano and the surrounding area.

It is in these renovated, renovated, and adapted ground-floor rooms on a public road that we decided to open our B&B.

A terrace with a splendid view of the valley below is available for breakfast and sunbathing on hot days (solarium). The uniqueness of the B&B Calabria lies in the ground-floor rooms, located in the old family bakery. These spaces enjoy very pleasant natural air conditioning from May to October, as our area is located halfway between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Sila mountains. Another unique feature is the terrace where breakfast is served, with a breathtaking view of the natural landscape with the surrounding valley and the medieval convent (now a retirement home).
