Baita Valfredda is nestled in one of the most picturesque corners of the Biois Valley, in the heart of the beautiful Valfredda, also known as the “Valley of Horses.” Here, the mountains still preserve their most authentic character, surrounded by alpine pastures, peaceful forests, and breathtaking Dolomite scenery. The chalet is part of a small cluster of historic alpine huts, a testament to the valley’s pastoral heritage, just a short walk from the renowned Flora Alpina Mountain Hut, famous for its traditional cuisine and breakfasts with spectacular Dolomite views. It is the perfect retreat for those seeking an authentic mountain experience away from crowded tourist destinations, while remaining close to Falcade and the San Pellegrino Ski Area. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, scenic walks, and outdoor activities immersed in nature. To preserve the authentic spirit of Valfredda, the chalet retains several traditional mountain features: -Access: The final stretch is along an unpaved forestry road, accessible by one suitable vehicle with a permit provided by the agency. Alternatively, the chalet can be reached via a pleasant, mostly flat 15-minute walk (900 m) from the parking area. -Layout: The house is spread over three levels, furnished in traditional style with natural wood. The upper floors feature a living area with a fireplace and an electric cooktop powered by the generator, as well as a cozy attic sleeping area with floor mattresses. On the lower level, separated from the main living spaces, are the bathroom, shower, and a relaxation area with a sofa bed; access requires stepping outside the chalet. -Power Supply: Electricity is primarily generated by solar panels, supported by a backup generator used for cooking and small appliances. There is no refrigerator. Outside, guests can enjoy a barbecue area.
