We had a truly wonderful stay at Boutique Hotel Touring in Verona. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth truly made us feel at home and made Verona feel like an even more special place in our memories. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with everything we could ask for. Perhaps only a small suitcase stand would be a nice addition, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The breakfast was delicious and diverse – a perfect start to each day. Overall, we feel we received much more than we paid for, in both service and experience. Thank you again for everything – we would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Verona!

FAQs about hotels in Veneto

Inspiration for Artist and Architect

The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.

Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.

In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.

Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.

Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

I really enjoyed staying at this wonderful resort because it offers a complete relaxing experience. We booked a chalet which was clean and had everything we needed. Also, we had the opportunity to visit the Garda lake, eat at the resort's restaurant (very good food) and admire the lake view from there, buy stuff from a store included inside the resort, free parking place and so on. Also, Gardaland is pretty close to this resort. We will definitely come here again!

The area is really big and a lot of things to do for kids. The pools are really fun and the beach is beautiful. The staff (especially the young staff) were super friendly and helpful. The restaurants were really well organized and you never had to wait long. I was quite impressed. We also did the pirate ship excursion, La Perla Nera, highly recommend for young kids! For families I would say it's a pretty perfect place! We will definitely be coming back!

Even though it was mid-April, the camp had lots of services open, including the Kids Club, pool, and animal park (although the park wasn’t open during our stay due to weather.) The on-site restaurant was nice! Our building had many nice features: good showers, nice kitchen, and the stand out was the lovely hot tub with lake view! Our kids enjoyed the mini club and the on-site store was very well-stocked.

It’s a fantastic location right on the beach and in the heart of Lido de Jesolo with many shops and restaurants right outside the door. Because of the big parking lot that separates the hotel from the street you don’t hear the noise and it’s nice and quiet. The staff is really helpful and nice and took great care of my family. The hotel also provides bikes free of charge to explore the area.

Our best visit was to the Palazzo Maffei which had an very impressive art collection (and good air-conditioning). We also recommend the Chiesa di Santa Maria in Organo, open at weekends with a free personal guided tour offered by volunteers. We enjoyed two Verdi operas performed at the atmospheric Arena. Our visit was at the end of June and the beginning of July which, unfortunately, coincided with an extreme heat wave. This limited what we could comfortably do and we abandoned our plan to visit neighbouring towns, although I did make two trips to Lake Garda, which is easily reached by train or bus. If returning, we would avoid the summer.

Mestre offers a more economical as well as a practical way to visit Venice. No dragging your bags or suitcases over bridges trying to find your hotel. A bus or a taxi will take you straight into the heart of Mestre, with the bust station only a short walk to the train station (Venezia Mestre). The train ride to Venice is only ten minutes and costs only 1 and a half euros each way and the train station (Venezia St. Lucia) opens out spectacularly onto the Grand Canal where you can catch a Vaporetto to anywhere in Venice. The Campanile Hotel was clean, comfortable and felt safe walking to and from the station (even after midnight) with a 24 hour reception and the staff were always polite and helpful. We ate twice at Madigans Venice restaurant that is conveniently about a minute/s walk from our hotel. The staff were friendly and looked after us and the food was good quality and affordable. They serve a delicious Tiramisu. One last thing, try a Hugo Spritz. It was the go-to drink of our holiday. It's less bitter than the Aperol variety. Don't forget that you are in the Veneto region which means good quality Prosecco is also an option and we were not disappointed. Staying in Mestre meant we had more money to spend in Venice. We would do the same again.

Caorle was a very pleasant surprise for us!

Caorle was a very pleasant surprise for us! We'we done some hiking in the Dolomites and wanted to wind off and relax on a beach. Any beach. It could have been Jesolo (too noisy) or Grado (been there a few years ago) or something in between. But what we have found is a small gem! Perfectly sized old town; nice, colored houses like in Burano. We liked it a lot and we will definitely come back here. If only the water was deeper near the shore... you have to go a long way in for a decent swim.

We only stayed two nights. We hired bikes ands cycled up the river; we spent time at our hotel pool; we walked along the lake coastline; and in the evening, we cycled round the lake to Gardaland Theme Park. We didn't really visit the historical town, or take a boat trip etc. We could have easily spread all that we did (and done more) over four or five days instead of two!

If you're looking to stay on lake Garda Malcesine would be our top tip. Lovely old town, great lakeside. Much less touristy than Limone and a nicer vibe than Riva. Lots of bars and restaurants, enough shopping to keep you busy for a few hours. Live music pop ups in the old town and good transport links to Verona (bus) and boats to visit other parts of the lake.

In our experience, this was the nicest city to stay in the southern part of lake Garda. Sirmeone and Pesquiera, which are the most popular ones, were two overcrowded for our taste and the coastal area of Bardolino was much nicer than those. It is lively enough to have enough to do places to eat and things to do in the lake, but it is peaceful enough to be able to enjoy your stay with your family without too many other people. Also renting a bike and biking from Bardolino to Garda along the lake is one of the nicest things we have done and seen in our lives. The view is absolutely stunning! The only other city which we liked about as much as Bardolino was Lazise. So either of those two would be perfect for a stay around lake Garda.
