We were so happy with our choice of the Hotel Vecellio for our time in Venice. The staff was wonderful, and so helpful in providing information to help us navigate the vaporetto transportation system! A personalized breakfast each morning gave us the opportunity to meet and chat with travelers from several countries. Our room was quaint and just what I had hoped for when it was booked. Would definitely stay there again!

A unique city with many draws - the canals, restaurants, and narrow shop filled alleys all have their own charms. Several districts to explore, each with a distinct character. The San Marco basilica and Rialto bridge are highlights, but don't overlook the quieter neighbouring areas. You can see a lot from a single vaporetto ride if you go the length of the route.

Venice was nice and you don't need more than 2 days to see the city. Streets are very narrow and can be difficult to navigate with GPS with high buildings on both sides. You can loose the signal. Water buses can be confusing to use at first and both the boats and stations can get extremely crowded. It's best to download the water bus app to see what buses are coming next to your station. On some water buses it was difficult to see route number on the boat. Also be sure to look into upcoming strikes in Italy. Most people are aware of the train strikes, but strikes also affect water bus service in Venice. We found out the hard way :-(

Venice is truly a place like no other!

Venice is truly a place like no other! The charm of the city is especially brought out during the evenings, once all of the tourists/cruise goers have left for the day. I, unsurprisingly, fell in love with the island(s), its people, the passion, and of course the history, architecture, and museums! I will 100% be back in my lifetime.

Venice has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Ever since watching the famous Cornetto advert, I knew one day I wanted to experience this magical city for myself. It was never a trip we wanted to do as a family. This was one place we wanted to discover together—just the two of us. After years of dreaming and planning, we finally made it. And it was everything I had imagined and more. Venice is unlike anywhere else in the world. Its winding canals, charming bridges, hidden alleyways and timeless beauty make it a place that truly captures your heart. If you love being by the water and enjoy exploring on foot, then Venice is an absolute must-visit. Some places live up to the dream. Venice certainly did.

Venice is such a beautiful city and also it has got the most beautiful palaces, museums and restaurants. I had the chance to go to the Vivaldi Four Seasons Concert at the Church of San Vidal. I was wonderful. I would also like to thank the person at the reception for helping me about the concert ticket and also I would like to thank with all my heart to the Venetian lady at the reception who helped to find my way when I was confused in the labyrinthine roads of Venice and pointing upon the map of Venice and marking the details. She was so kind , she even gave a small gift from Venice on my departure. Thanks a lot.

We loved the hotel - situated extremely close to the centre St Marks square , had a nice atmosphere with stylish furnishings. Our room was elegant and comfortable (though the water was not hot enough to take a shower in the morning or evening- this is the only reason why I rated the place very good instead of exceptional). The breakfast was exceptional - coffee, a wide choice of baked goods, delightful pastries, savoury food etc. We travelled a lot in Italy and I would rate the breakfast as one of the best we have experienced in Italy so far.

I had the pleasure of staying in this charming and intimate hotel in an absolutely fantastic location. It's just a 3-minute walk from the water taxi station, a mere minute from St. Mark's Square, and the gondola stop is conveniently right outside. The hotel boasts a unique style that beautifully captures the essence of Venice. The rooms are not only stylish but also impeccably clean, a rarity in Italy. The prime location added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. It was truly perfect, so I extend my sincere thanks!

The hotel is in the heart of Venice easily accessible by vaporetto. The room was spacious and overlooked the roofs. The best view of a small canal was from the bathroom window. The breakfast was overall good, but lacked some vegetables and the coffee could be better, especially as it is Italy. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
