At the beginning of the 16th century, an exclusive village took shape in the middle of Bernalda through the creation of several elegant houses: this is where Borgo San Gaetano is, between noble buildings and dreamy gardens. You will have the chance to spend your stay in a “Dimora” or a “Casalino”, some ancient working places situated in Vico Metaponto, a narrow alley paved with calcareous blocks, where a centuries-old wisteria will welcome you at the entrance.

Bernalda, a village full of magic situated in the heart of Basilicata, is very close to Metaponto, cradle of Magna Grecia’s culture and it’s only a few kilometres from Matera, known all over the world for the “Sassi”, one of the oldest housing cluster in the world.
