Our private holiday home Casa Gennaro offers around 90 m² of living space plus a private garden and is located on a hillside in a quiet residential area of Agropoli, with beautiful panoramic views of the sea and the rolling hills of the Cilento National Park. The detached house is spacious and perfect both for relaxing holidays and for inspired remote working. The terrace invites you to linger and enjoy the wonderful view of Baia di Trentova, the harbour, and the historic old town.

As children we spent our summer holidays year after year in our house in Agropoli – and over time it became our second home alongside the Black Forest in Germany. We love travelling and do so often, but the people of Cilento, the landscape, and the food of this region are truly incomparable. The area has an incredible amount to offer and yet it has largely remained untouched by international mass tourism. In fact, many Italians themselves choose to spend their holidays here. Casa Gennaro gives you the opportunity to experience a side of Italy that is still very authentic and original.

Around Agropoli you will find an extraordinary variety of experiences: from the unspoiled nature of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, with its hiking trails, hilltop villages and spectacular coastline, to some of Italy’s most famous destinations. Particularly worthwhile are trips along the Amalfi Coast or to the island of Capri, both world-famous for their dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters. For hiking enthusiasts, the famous Path of the Gods offers one of the most spectacular coastal trails in Italy. The region also offers a wealth of cultural highlights. Nearby Paestum impresses with its remarkably well-preserved Greek temples, while the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum provide fascinating insights into life in Roman times. Agropoli itself also hosts cultural events, concerts and theatre performances in the historic fortress overlooking the picturesque old town. Last but not least, Cilento is a culinary paradise. The national park is known for its traditional rural cuisine, which can be enjoyed in many agriturismi using locally grown ingredients. The area around Paestum is also the birthplace of the world-famous buffalo mozzarella from Campania. Many local farms offer the chance to visit buffalo dairies and see how the cheese is produced – and to taste mozzarella as fresh as almost nowhere else in the world. And of course, one of Italy’s greatest culinary icons also comes from Campania: the Pizza Margherita.
