The breakfast was very good. The staff accommodated me with gluten free options. The staff greeted us every morning with smiles. Asked about our plans what we had seen the day before. Made suggestions, were very knowledgeable about attractions and restaurants the staff Vittorio Cinzia Aldo Rosalin were amazing and made our stay welcoming comfortable and were very knowledge able and professional. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk from the train and a 12 minute walk to the entrance of the ruins. The breakfast buffet was in a beautiful room on the lower level, with everything you could ask for. There was a small shared patio on the upper floor, perfect for relaxing after hours of walking in the ruins. The location, on a side street was great, it was quiet and little smell of car exhaust. We got to the ruin when it first opened in the morning, so it was not crowded. The second day we took bus 808 to the stop at almost the top of the volcano, and walked along the top. We brought a picnic lunch there and enjoyed the view. The hotel had a small book exchange,

Stayed here for eight days in May. The hotel is in a great location, it’s quiet with easy access to the metro and main streets. It’s a clean comfortable lovely hotel with a fabulous roof garden/ terrace where we enjoyed coffee and pastries every morning. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless, made use of the table and chairs by the window overlooking the sea. It’s very good value and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Stunning Scenery and Remarkable Ruins

Wonderful beach resorts, a wealth of history and winding, cliff-hugging roads – these are just a few reasons why Campania is so admired.

Spreading around a bay, the capital Naples is a mix of monumental architecture and narrow streets. Known for pizza and pulsating life night and day, it extends along the coast towards Pozzuoli, site of a Roman amphitheatre and the Phlegrean Fields volcanic area.

The most notorious volcano is of course Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79AD destroyed Pompei and Herculaneum. The ruins of both are an amazing insight into the sophistication of the Romans. Even older are the well-preserved Greek temples at Paestum.

Agropoli sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a beach and harbour, and beautiful Palinuro is at the tip of the Cilento National Park. Other fantastic Campania resorts are on the amazing Amalfi Coast. Ravello, high on a hill, offers stunning coastal views, while Amalfi and Positano cascade down to the sea. Around the peninsula is Sorrento, home to several 5-star Campania hotels, while offshore are the fabulous islands of Capri and Ischia.

Great city to experience real Italy, people, characters, food, culture. Most surprising positive experience was safety for me and the negative one paying extra just for sitting down in the cafes. I was really amazed with the beauty of the metro stations, I have never seen such interiors anywhere in Europe. For pizza lovers I would recommend “ Brandi” the place where Margarita was born, they have best pizzas ever. The gelatos and sweet pastry is amazing very tasty everywhere. Got addicted to sfogliatellas.

It's a beautiful and relaxing place with a huge number of retaurants to enjoy. Just wander the laneways until you find something you like. Wonderful sunsets and plenty of options to travel to other locations along the coast. A guided tour to Pompeii is a must but shop around, we booked the tour at the train station. We will go to Vesuvius and Herculaneum on our next visit. No public beaches and daily access to sunbeds at the Marina is expensive. We stayed by the pool at our hotel instead. Plenty of shops at all price points with all the souvenirs you could need. We will be back.

Salerno is a great base for visiting the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii, and Naples. Boat trips to Amalfi Coast and Capri departing from the port in Salerno. The city offers a nice mix of culture and sun, sea, and beach, with public beaches both in town and just a few kilometers away. Salerno itself also has plenty of history, sights, authentic Italian restaurants, and the best ice cream in town at Bar Gelateria Nettuno.

I think it would be better to stay in Sorrento maybe and travel to Pompeii. 3 nights in Pompeii was too long. If you decide to stay then research your hotel well and ensure it is in the very centre. The ruins are spectacular and don’t be put off by all the scaremongering about queues and pre booking

This was a new destination and one of my friends advised me to visit Forio as a summer vacation direction and I am very thankful her for this chance, The Island was very nisce, clean and the sea was fantastic. I fell in love with Ischia and will advice my freiends to plan one of the best summer vactaion option. By the way, the most inportant tnhig in Forio is its Sunsets. You will fell in love with it, it was unique. I love you Forio.

Ischia Town has lots of moderately priced but very nice shops, some lovely restaurants on the water with beautiful views and charming decor. Closes relatively early on Tuesdays. The town is very close to the castle, a relatively short and beautiful stroll to see the sights in the lively downtown area.

Absolutely beautiful place with stunning views. It's a pity what instagram did – it's very crowded and overpriced. Definitely luxurious. Most places are available by quite expensive taxi, even though, be prepared for large amount of hiking uphil if you want to see places other that city area. We wished we stayed longer, however it's also perfect and way cheaper to travel there for a day trip by ferry from Sorrento – only 30mins one way.

Great town.

Great town. The prettiest town on Amalfi Coast... more than Amalfi, Sorrento, or Salerno. It has ONE one way street into town... come all the way down the side of the mountain... there is the town. Many hotels on each side of street as you come into town. Any of them would be nice. The higher up you are on the mountain.. the longer your walk into town..... 400 steps from our hotel. I'd recommend trying to get something closer to town. The Ferry's are GREAT... take you to any town along the coast... Sorrento..Amalfi.. Salerno... even Naples. Way better than driving. Local bus takes you between towns also.. very cheap.. $3Euro each way. Driving is scary, and there is NO PARKING.. don't get a car.

stayed for 1 hour and left even though we booked for a week

stayed for 1 hour and left even though we booked for a week no refund or partly refund parking only far away and expensive parking not freely accessible wanted the keys of the car, what about no church bells next to the appartment not clean toilet needs repair, fills in 30 minutes easy fix but probably reviews do not work to fix basic stuff. The view was stunning, that is the only thing positive

Maiori was the perfect location to explore the Amalfi coast.

Maiori was the perfect location to explore the Amalfi coast. Easy ferry access, much less crowded and much less expensive than Amalfi or Positano. The town is also flat, so it’s easy to navigate. Plenty of shops and restaurants. The beach is also amazing.
