Our studio apartment is on the first floor of an early 20th century building in the medieval quarter of the city. Renovated and furnished with care, this open space is full of light and overlooks Piazza Carlo Alberto, the beating heart of the neighbourhood close to Santa Maria Cathedral. The flat has a cosy living area with a refined kitchenette. Just a few moves and the living room turns into a sleeping area with a comfortable double bed. If you go up a nice wooden ladder you’ll be in the mezzanine furnished with another bed for two people.
My name is Giovanna, I’m from Mantua on the Italian mainland. I have been living in Cagliari for ten years with my Sardinian partner and our daughter Anita. I teach English, which has inspired me to travel and meet people from other cultures, this aspect of life is something that I really enjoy, hence our project Casa Minu’.
Casa Minu’ is a holiday home in the heart of Castello. This area is of historic and architectural importance. It’s situated on a hill, overlooking the city. It is centrally placed and boasts some fantastic views. I have a strong interest in design and our apartment is a perfect mix of classic and contemporary. The furniture is modern and tailor made. Reflecting Italian design, contemporary art and Sardinian craftsmanship. Situated adjacent to a picturesque Piazza, Casa Minu’ is close to the Cathedral and the Citadel Museum. Historic landmarks such as the Archeological Museum, the Elephant and San Pancrazio towers are nearby.
