This place is particularly dear to me, as it is where I spent my childhood and created beautiful memories with my grandmother Ninetta, to whom I have dedicated the house. Located on the second floor of Palazzo Sebastiani, a historic building from the 1500s without an elevator, my apartment offers a serene retreat in the heart of Caprarola, one of the most charming medieval villages in the Roman countryside. The living area consists of a dining table for four people and a comfortable kitchen. The kitchenette is fully equipped for cooking, with a stove, microwave, and a refrigerator with a freezer. Here you will also find a dedicated space with everything you need to prepare a delicious breakfast, thanks to the espresso machine, kettle, and juicer at your disposal. The sleeping area of the house consists of two bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious and has a comfortable double bed, an open wardrobe, bedside tables with dedicated lights, and is very bright thanks to the lovely balcony overlooking the main street of Caprarola. The second bedroom has two single beds, an open wardrobe, bedside tables with dedicated lights, and a large window. Both bedrooms are also equipped with a 40" HD Smart TV with standard cable channels. The bathroom, also recently renovated, is spacious and functional, with a large shower cabin, a sink cabinet, toilet, bidet, and window. During the winter, the house is efficiently heated through central heating. In the summer, it remains naturally cool thanks to the thick walls, and there is always a pleasant breeze. However, please note that the apartment does not have air conditioning. There is a fast, free, and unlimited Wi-Fi connection.

Caprarola is a village in the Tuscia area of Viterbo, with a population of 5,357. It is situated on a tuff spur on the southeastern slope of the Cimini Mountains, nestled in the ancient Etruscan territory, just 60 km from Rome. My apartment is housed within Palazzo Sebastiani. This elegant palace is one of the most important built during the Renaissance and is located about 50 meters from Palazzo Farnese along the main street, the famous Via Dritta, which divides the town in half and culminates in the large square dominated by the majestic Palazzo Farnese. This 16th-century residence is the most representative of Caprarola, both in terms of wealth and power. During the Middle Ages, the town was contested by several feudal families and reached its peak in the 1500s when the Farnese family significantly expanded their dominion by building lavish villas and castles. Palazzo Farnese is one of the finest examples of a Mannerist-era residence. The territory falls within the beautiful protected area of the Lake Vico Nature Reserve. The area includes the surrounding mountainous ring, of volcanic origin, and the entire basin of one of the most beautiful lakes in Lazio and central Italy: Lake Vico. Caprarola is famous for being considered the City of Hazelnuts, celebrated every year between the end of August and the beginning of September during the historic Hazelnut Festival, an unmissable event for locals and the thousands of tourists who flock to the village each year to witness the celebration. The festival honors Caprarola’s quintessential product, which has brought it wealth in the past and remains the main resource of its economy today.
