Loved the customer service. They helped with pretty much anything. We had issues with reservations and could only reserve one day. However we got help and were able to compromise to get another night by maybe changing rooms. The guy Dian was amazing in helping with this.

The Vatican

The world’s smallest state is also one of its most attraction-packed spots. As the center of the Catholic Church, Vatican City is full of breathtaking religious architecture and artistic treasures. Must-sees include the imposing St. Peter’s Basilica—so vast that the Statue of Liberty could fit comfortably under its dome—and the mesmerizing frescoes at the Sistine Chapel.

Be prepared, bring water, to walk, and walk, and walk, and walk forever. The journey all inside brings you through endless museums on the promise of seeing the Cistine Chapel. Finally as 70 year old's we arrived exhausted, worn out and unable to enjoy the wonder that is the Sistine Chapel. A one off experience that I don't think many would repeat. Book the cheapest ticket to beat the queues. Insist on not queing otherwise you be shunted to the end of very long queues adding to the torturous laborious walk. Way too much spectacular artifacts to take in in 3 hours.

The Pope prays the angelus on Sundays at noon. Stand outside on the left of St. Peter's where the columns are and you will see him come out of the window that has a red carpet that they roll down.

After paying $80 for two time-specific tickets, there would have been at least a thousand cued up to enter with thousands already in the complex. It was a "cattle drive" with attendant rushing the mob along. I am a former museum director and this was my worst museum experience. BUT it is the only way to see the Sistine Chapel - also wall-to-wall people.

Reserve tickets especially for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, be at least 1. hours before your reserved time and have comfortable walking shoes. Do not visit the Basilica on Wednesday and Sunday mornings ( closed )before at least 1pm - unless you want to see the Pope from the balcony at noon. Be ready for very long queues.

If you want to see the Sistine Chapel , just be prepared that you're going to spend four times as much time getting there parading through the Vatican museum , which has all sorts of stuff that I didn't necessarily associate with the Vatican.

We really enjoyed our stay at Risorgimento 55, which exceeded our expectations. The room was quite large, comfortable, and quiet. The property is literal steps away from the Vatican and a short taxi ride to the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, and Roman Forum. Check-in was completely virtual and detailed instructions were sent about arriving to the hotel, entering the property, and getting into the room. Highly recommend staying here: for the value for money, you can't beat it!

This is more of a review for Rentbeat than for the apartment. The apartment was very good, specious, well equipped, and the location was good, 10-15min walk from the Vatican. It has a beautiful specious terrace, located in a very nice neighborhood. The apartment has a little bit of a vintage vibe, so who like things to be modern and new, this is not the place for them.

The hotel is very well located, just a few meters from the Vatican, and all major attractions in Rome are within walking distance. The facilities are beautiful, and the rooms are spotless—clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities and even a few extras. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive; my compliments to them for their outstanding level of customer service. I highly recommend this hotel, and without a doubt, it will be our choice again when we return to Rome.

Walking distance from the Vatican - 10 minutes. Easy to get to other places in Rome on foot or public transport. The apartment is very spacious, three separate bedrooms, all with roll down window shades, one balcony at the bedroom with the ensuite bathroom. Three bathrooms - one of which is ensuite. The kitchen is very useful as well. Overall it is a great place to stay in Rome. It is located at the second floor (third, if you're American) and it also has an elevator.

The apartment have many locks to enter, some might think this is annoying but jts actually made me feel more safe since we were 2 girls on Rome and we don't know what might happen at night. It has a good location to the Vatican city and also to the center of Rome, as well a nice view from the windows. There is washing machine, which is a good thing as well some kitchen stuff where you can easily cook if you get the ingredients. It was clean and organized. Even though rhere is no AC, but the room has an fan which is better than nothing.

The property was perfectly located for a visit to the Vatican. Our receptionist was very kind and accommodating. The hotel booked our taxi for us to catch an early flight to FCO airport, which was so easy and worry-free. Our room was cool, water was provided, as well as coffee, tea and snacks. The bathroom was large and spacious, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We were so grateful for the AC after such hot weather in Rome!!
