My name is Marco Marzocchi, and Casa del Falegname is, above all, my family's story. What today welcomes our guests was the family carpentry workshop: this is where wood was worked by hand, and these spaces were part of my life long before they became a place of hospitality. For many years I worked as a manager for large companies — a path that had me traveling widely and getting to know places and people around the world. Those travels taught me what really makes a stay enjoyable: well-kept spaces, clear information, and the freedom to feel at home without anyone hovering over you. That's what I wanted to recreate here. Today I've chosen a different pace. I love the outdoors and walk whenever I can — the countryside around here is the perfect place for it. I like the idea that the people who stay with us can slow down a little, the way I've learned to. Casa del Falegname is a country farmhouse that was home to a family carpentry workshop for generations. Today those same spaces — where wood was once worked by hand — have been turned into three studio units and an apartment, carefully restored to host guests looking for a quiet stay just a few kilometers from Bologna. We wanted to keep the character of the original farmhouse while adding everything a modern stay calls for: fully equipped kitchens, Wi-Fi and wired LAN, Smart TVs, climate control, covered parking, and CCTV surveillance. Check-in is self-service with a personal badge, so you can arrive whenever suits you best. Whether you're here for work, for a visit to Bologna, or for a few days of countryside quiet, you'll find well-kept spaces, real silence, and a direct, no-frills welcome.

Gaiana is a small countryside hamlet in the municipality of Castel San Pietro Terme, halfway between Bologna and Imola. We're here because the countryside is still the real thing: scattered houses, farmland, the occasional farmstead, and at night you only hear the wind. What we like most is the location. We're away from traffic, but not isolated: a ten-minute drive takes you to Castel San Pietro Terme for the thermal spas, the old town center, and good restaurants; twenty minutes gets you to Imola and its famous racing circuit; half an hour and you're in Bologna. The highway exit (A14, Castel San Pietro) is also just a few minutes away — convenient for guests traveling for work. For those with time to explore, the hills of the Imola area start right behind us: vineyards, walking trails, country inns, and wineries worth discovering at a slow pace. This is where Romagna starts to blend into Emilia — great food, straightforward people, and a quiet you can no longer find in the city.
