Two unique self catering apartments in a private courtyard, both with an outside terrace area. The 1st floor apartment is one-bedroomed and the ground floor apartment is a large studio. Just a few steps from the centro storico of Sogliano Cavour, the property is one of the oldest in the town and is full of character. The ground floor apartment has a barrel vault ceiling and has retained several of the original features including a large fireplace and stone trough. The 1st floor apartment is light and airy and benefits from a bright, sunny terrace.
We are English and split our time between Salento and Yorkshire. Our Italian friends in the town look after the property for us when we are not there so there is always someone on hand should you need any assistance. We love walking, and the rural unspoilt feel of this part of Italy.
Sogliano Cavour is ideally positioned for enjoying both coasts and for all the main attractions of Salento (nearby Galatina, Lecce, Gallipoli, Nardo and Otranto) The town boasts a beautiful cafe in the 'Centro Storico' (literally a few steps away from the apartments) and three historic churches.There is also an excellent restaurant, post office, pharmacy, take-away and two supermarkets all within walking distance. This said, a car is definitely recommended to explore the surrounding areas and on street parking is available on Via Regina.
