Property info

Dimora I Manichei has a hillside location on the top of the Historic centre of Monforte d’Alba. We are a small intimate apartment hotel. The rooms are decorated in a old luxury style to respect the beautiful 11th Century house. Check out the view from the sundeck and relax in our private swimming pool. You will find old narrow streets, unique and relaxing atmosphere in this protected UNESCO world Heritage site. The local restaurants are only meters away. Welcome.

Monforte d'Alba is one of the most interesting historical centers of Langa: the steep streets that go up to the square of the ancient Church, the baroque churches of St. Augustine and St. Elizabeth, the bell tower, the eighteenth-century Palazzo dei Marchesi Scarampi and l ' Horszowski auditorium. From its history emerges the dramatic episode of the Cathar heresy that in the year 1000 it spread under the protection of the legendary Countess Berta; captured and taken to Milan archbishop order Aribert of Intimiano, the Cathars of Monforte were sentenced to the stake in 1028.
