Horse Shoe House is the name that I gave to the renovation project of this lovely farm house located in the centre of the little village of Chiaverano after discovering an old horse shoe in the cellar. Now completely renovated, this 3 storey independent house can accommodate 8 people and has its own private courtyard with covered parking for one car and space in front of the garage for a second car. As I loved the views and space on the top floor, which was originally the hay loft, I converted this into the living area. It has a well-equipped small modern kitchen, a dining room and a cosy lounge. The 3 large windows and a suspended gallery above the dining room and lounge have been designed to showcase the amazing roof top views all year round. The bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the first two floors of the house: Each master bedroom has an adjoining second bedroom. In the courtyard there are a couple of steps leading down into what was originally the cellar. Here you can find golf equipment, if you want to visit one of our local golf courses. You will probably find that one week’s stay is too short to discover all that this wonderful region has to offer.

I fell in love and moved to Italy many years ago after I had completed my degree in business. After travelling and living in many regions of Italy I settled down in the Piedmont region. I work in fashion exporting Italian products worldwide as well as accompanying groups on tours of the region. I have a passion for design and details that I hope to have transmitted in the renovation of Horse shoe house. I live very close by to this property and my team and myself are delighted to assist guests before and during their stay. Our aim is to make your stay as memorable as possible. There are so many areas to discover in this beautiful region of Italy. Lakes are plentiful in this north-western region of Italy: Just a 3 minute drive from the house, the beautiful Lake Sirio is surrounded by scenic wooded areas perfect for nature lovers, Lake Viverone, within 10 miles of the house, is the 3rd largest lake in Piedmont. Lake Candia is of glacial origin and its environmentally important wetlands are a nature reserve. Thanks to the particular wind currents, gliding is popular in the area, the cellar at the house is perfect for storing such equipment. Medieval Ivrea, the main town of the Canavese region, is just an 8 minute drive from the house and is world-famous for its annual Carnival: The Battle of the Oranges. Ivrea is crossed by the river Dora Baltea which is world-renowned for canoeing. Turin with the Veneria Reale is just 50km away and Closer by there are a multitude of medieval castles, such as: Massino Castle Ducal Castle of Agliè; and Forte di Bard as well as Castello D’Issogne and Fenis in neighbouring Val D’Aosta. Milan, Italian capital of fashion and culture can be reached in just over 1 hour., if you want to visit a local golf course; Le Betulle, Canavese Golf & Country club and Cavaglia are all within a 30 minutes.
