The apartment is located in Salivoli, the best neighbourhood of Piombino. On the right, the Salivoli sandbeach is only 300 metres away and the touristic harbour 500 metres away (see photos). The beautiful Calamoresca beach is 1 km further away (see pics); from it, a nice promenade (on foot or by mountain bike) starts above the seacoast and cliffs until two wild isolated beaches: Spiaggia Lunga and Fosso alle Canne. Many signalled tracks go through the Piombino Cape and big woods until the fascinating little medieval town of Populonia Alta, with its castle and archeological park, or the wide, spectacular Baratti Gulf, with its long arch of sand, old pinewood and the etruscan necropolis. Both Baratti and Populonia can be easily reached in 10-15' by car or in something more by bus. On the left of the flat, you can do a beautiful promenade along the Piombino seacoast, admiring the Tuscan archipelago, until you reach the characteristic old centre of the town and the fantastic Bovio square, which enters the Tirreno sea just in front of Elba island (see photos): it is the largest square inside the sea of Europe. Along the way you won't miss smart views. With a 15' drive southward you'll find the long sandy beaches of Costa Est and Sterpaia park (blue flag for environmental quality) and at 15' northward the long sandy coast with dunes and the wood of Remigliano park.
