The guesthouse “Casa dei Ciottoli” certainly is one of the most peculiar short let solution in the world, unique for its artistic dna. It was built in mid 20th century by Guerino Galzerano, called “the architect” – a local farmer who collected pebbles from sea’s shores or from river’s banks. In addition to the house, he decorated four others sites, all in Castelnuovo Cilento:the Garden under the Medieval Castle, the village of Santa Caterina, the monumental tomb in the cemetery. The house is located in the center of Castelnuovo Cilento, an ancient medieval village dating back to the 10th century, in the heart of Cilento National Park, 280 meters above sea level. The village, located on the top of a hill, has a dominant position and an astonishing view over the Alento Valley and the Cilento’s Coast. Francesco, great-grandson of Guerino, inherited the house and wanted to restore this unique place in order to share the incredible story of his ancestor with other people coming from all over the world. He made the home more comfortable and welcoming but at the same time Francesco preserved its artistic identity and its original style.

In Castelnuovo there s a nice restaurat behind the medieval Tower with a beatiful scenary and there u can eat a fantastic pizza:) . Its name is 49 luppoli.
