The location offers a remarkable view of the surrounding mountains, meadows and forests. The position is excellent: 100 meters from the town center, in a reserved residence area, just two minutes from the shopping area with supermarket, pharmacy and cafeteria. Strigno is gently perched on the side of the mountain, along the Chieppena stream, and is surrounded by a green amphitheater of hills. Its mild climate favors fruit cultivations. The residential settlement (ancient, prehistoric and then Roman), is crossed by the Ancient Roman military road "Claudia Augusta Altinate". Built in 15 B.C., the road connects the Adriatic Sea to the Danube through the Resia Pass. Today the town, which was almost entirely rebuilt after the First World War and has progressively diversified its trades, has returned to its roots with a focus on agriculture and care of the landscape.
