One of the most important features of this Bed And Breakfast is the creation of a 'trait d'union' between Art and Hospitality. It is, in fact, no coincidence that it was an artist who conceived, designed and realised this structure, making the portrait his distinctive mark, inspired by the philosopher Emmanuel Levinas with 'The Face of the Other'. Where the Other is the mirror of ourselves and therefore to be welcomed, defended and protected. The intention is explicitly to open the doors of the 'Dwelling' to dialogue, confrontation and knowledge of others aimed at mutual enrichment. In the 'Dimora dell'Arte' you might therefore happen to meet Valeria while she is painting, sipping a coffee to the notes of a piece by Michel Petrucciani, or she might offer you one of her vanilla, cinnamon or hazelnut flavoured coffee blends.

La Dimora dell Arte is the evolution of Valeria Massari's Art Atelier and retains this imprint. The property has two rooms with city views. In the Grecale Suite there is a private SPA room with a large hydromassage tub, structured to guarantee the right relaxation after the many cultural, food and wine and Bari nightlife tours. In the Levante Room there is a spacious shower with chromotherapy, to refresh body and soul in the hot summers of Bari or to warm up during the intense mistral days. For both accommodations, particular attention was paid to the beds and mattresses handcrafted by one of the best local companies, Mikiflex. Furthermore, the mattresses are equipped with goose down toppers and 100% cotton percale sheets. Each guest is provided with 2 pillows of different consistencies. The accommodations are air conditioned and equipped with a flat-screen TV, WiFi, luggage rack, minibar, safe, kettle and coffee maker, private bathroom with free toiletries, bathroom furniture, hairdryer, 1 set of towels per guest. The rooms are cleaned daily. Equally important is the breakfast, sweet and savory, prepared with traditional Bari products and recipes, served in a large and bright room. Each room is also an exhibition space of paintings, created by Valeria and Massimiliano Massari, reserved exclusively for guests, who can also purchase the paintings on display or commission landscapes, illustrations or portraits.

In Bari, in a very central area, the B & B La Dimora dell'Arte was born. Just a few steps from the picturesque medieval centre, with its well-preserved Frederick's castle, the beautiful cathedral of San Sabino, and above all the imposing and severe pontifical basilica of San Nicola, the leader of the architectural style known as Apulian Romanesque, built between 968 and 1071 to house and guard the Saint's relics, for centuries the destination of pilgrimages of the Catholic and Orthodox faiths.
