Meane’s “La Mela Antica” is a delightful farmhouse that has recently been fully renovated using state of the art ‘passive house’ technologies for air quality, insulation and heating/cooling. Located halfway up the hill from the Tanaro river to La Morra, breakfast is served with stunning views of the valley and the Alps. You can also enjoy the peaceful surroundings for country walks through the hazelnut groves or lounging in the sun. The hayloft has been converted into a spacious Yoga Shala, and your host, Donatella, a certified Yoga instructor for adults and children will be happy to arrange sessions for those who are interested in English or Italian.
Donatella and Richard have spent 3 years carefully renovating this property combining modern ecological Technologies, whilst maintaining the farmhouse's original charm. Donatella is local to the area, and her passions are yoga and crafts. She teaches Yoga to both adults and and children. Richard is English. He enjoys outside activities and looking after the land surrounding the property. Together with their 2 children, the family look forward to welcoming you in their beautiful 'cascina'.
Meane is ideally positioned at the beginning of the Langhe region for easy access to beautiful villages such as La Morra, Barolo and Monforte as well as the towns of Cherasco, Bra and Alba.
