The nearest coast is only 25 km away (Tirrenia) but with a few km you can also reach Livorno, Castiglioncello and the entire Etruscan coast up to Maremma (about 2 and a half hours by car). For mountain lovers, about 1 hour from Lucca, it is possible to visit the area called Garfagnana and the nearby Lunigiana.
