Tenuta La Fratta is an ancient and important agricultural estate and historic farm nestled in the Valdichiana plain, along the ancient Via Cassia. Its existence has been documented since 1208, making it one of the longest-running businesses in Italy. The estate retains the traditional structure of a Tuscan farm: a complex of historic buildings including the manor house, church, garden and various agricultural outbuildings, gathered around a courtyard with a well. The palace and its architecture tell the story of centuries of peasant and aristocratic life and highlight the evolution of the area from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Within the estate is the Locanda della Fratta, a welcoming accommodation facility converted from the ancient 16th-century stables, skilfully restored and equipped with modern comforts, where guests can stay immersed in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside.
